Founder of RNR (Rumble N the Ramble)‘s DAIYAH is one of NY’s finest. RNR since its inception has hosted some highly coveted talent and is known for its stellar lineups that provide a consistent vibe all night long. DAIYAH has brought her heavy and fresh sound through multiple cities in North America and throughout Europe. Drawing inspiration from the harder industrial sounds and marrying that with the wacky and unbridled genre that is experimental, her sets are sure to take you on an unexpected and unhinged journey. Her goal is to search through the sexiest and deepest bowels of the sound to make a space where chaos can thrive.

What does liberation mean to you?

Liberation is living life unapologetically as who you are deeply and authentically without fear of public vitriol or violence. Personally, liberation is me living my life everyday as a black woman. Liberation is doing techno music in 2023 as a black woman. Liberation is being in a doctoral program in a historically white male led field. Liberation is moving and traveling about the world in safety and in peace. Liberation is having locs down to my ass and walking into spaces owning everything that having my hair like this means. Liberation is fully, freely living my life while actively combating white supremacy and white supremacist ideals every chance I get all the while rejecting internalized racism, knowing my history, and supporting my people mind, body, and soul.
