SONIC SESSIONS - October 2024

Off the heels of Labor Day Weekend, submissions for the last Sonic Sessions of 2024 are open! Join BTM and host, MerlinBerlin, on Wednesday, October 2 from 7-9:30 pm for the last edition of our unique artist listening and feedback gathering.

With Sonic Sessions, we invite DC-area artists to submit a techno or adjacent genre track that will be heard in an intimate setting by other artists and the Black Techno Matters label team themselves. We will select only a few tracks for full playback followed by thoughtful group discussion on each selection. As always, Sessions will be small and all feedback will be handled in a way that keeps things respectful and helpful. Whether you’d like to submit a demo for the BTM label, test your mixdown or mastering techniques, or explore new sounds, we’re excited to hear from you!

**This month’s giveaway: Black Techno Matters’ ENTIRE catalog for one lucky participant! To enter, select “Yes” on the giveaway question in the track submission form. The winner will be announced during October’s Sonic Sessions event.

TO SUBMIT:

// Complete the Track Submission for BTM Sonic Sessions form (LINK IN BIO) by Thursday, September 19.

// Make sure your track is exported as a 24-Bit, 44.1 kHz stereo WAV file and sent as a Dropbox or Google Drive link.

// We prefer tracks in the Techno/House genres (or adjacent), but other genres can be explored as well.

// We will email artists who have been selected by Friday, September 27.
